Vedclass · Answer

(A) The roots of leguminous plants, which belong to the family $Fabaceae$ (formerly $Leguminosae$),often develop small, spherical swellings known as root nodules. These nodules are formed due to the symbiotic association between the plant roots and nitrogen-fixing bacteria such as $Rhizobium$.Among the given options,$Pea$ ($Pisum$ $sativum$) is a member of the family $Fabaceae$,and therefore,it exhibits nodulated roots.Wheat,Mustard, and Rice are not leguminous plants and do not form root nodules.
